Chingay plant selection

As we are decorating the inside of a house, here are some common indoor plants that I recommend. Even though they are indoor plants, they possess as much beauty as any outdoor plant, perhaps even more so. The idea behind this recommendation is that the selection has to show practicality and feasibility: as this Chingay display and performance is meant as an impetus to promote home gardening (in other words, it won't be just about Chinese New Year), it is important to show the audience that such a display is possible, on top of the desire to awe them with the "wow" factor. Also, I have factored in the size requirements. I reckon that the display will not be conspicuous and eye-catching enough if we use smaller plants. I hope my pitch is comprehensive for you. Now, without further ado, here are the nominees:

1) Anthurium spp

2) Spathyphyllum (commonly known as Peace Lily)

3) Aphelandra squarrosa

 4) Calathea spp (especially Calathea zebrina)

5) Chrysothermis puchella

6) Syngonium [green and pink (preferred)]

7) Excoecaria cochinchinensis

8) Graptophyllum pictum (Caricature plant)

9) Sinningia speciosa (Florist Gloxinia)
