My four-o-clock, otherwise known as mirabilis jalapa, has finally revealed its true nature, flower colour that is and it is really pretty. The blooms started to come a few days ago, one batch at a time. I was definitely positively surprised to see the pink flowers gradually opening for the first time in the evening; unfortunately, it is also the last time they will open and they will complete their duty with the development of seeds. Sadly, all the blooms so far have not given rise to seeds yet. I certainly hope the seeds will come soon. After all, it's the seeds that will give rise to genetically different progenies that maintain the gene pool and ultimately the "fitness" of future plants. Enough said, I shall let the pictures do the talking now. A picture of my Pedilanthus plant is also shown. Ciao!
